- It uses a unique patented immunochromatographic technology
- It is a fast, inexpensive and easy to use disposable strip
- Requires no mixing or measuring of reagents, or calibration of equipment
- Does not require a machine or trained person to read
- Does not require first morning urine
- Does not detect drug use or cross react with other compounds
Accurate Measure of Nicotine Consumption & Tobacco Exposure
Detects Secondhand Smoke!Nicalert™ is a unique point of care assay that now provides clinicians with a tool for a thorough, accurate determination of patient tobacco use and exposure status from all sources, including the effect from environmental tobacco smoke (ETS). The ability to track level of intake and exposure is integral to implementing continuous patient improvement. Earlier available tests have fundamental drawbacks that limit or preclude their use on a universal basis. The use of Nicalert™ should ultimately improve outcomes and save money.
